For this piece, I interviewed Papa Roach lead singer Jacoby Shaddix backstage after a recent concert in Syracuse, NY for ZIPPED Magazine. Topics of the interview included fashion evolution, social media and the band’s legacy.

How can naysayers of diversity, equity and inclusion training be addressed?

For my public relations writing class, I was assigned with writing an op-ed on a topic of my choosing. Because I focused on The Coca-Cola Company to produce press materials during the course, I choose to write about the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion training amidst The Coca-Cola Company’s prior backlash regarding their training practices.

New and Old Madrid: Through ‘Tourist Traps’ and Arthouse Theaters

During my time studying abroad in Madrid, Spain, I took a travel writing course that greatly improved my writing skills, forcing me to learn a new style of writing that combines both journalistic utility and creative freedom. For this assignment, I was tasked with writing a large travel essay about a destination of my choosing. I chose to profile two different destinations to juxtapose a large tourist hotspot and a small arthouse theater and bar.
